You’ll call it miraculous. We call it BabelDisc
Trouble-free computing starts here, just as soon as you load a BabelDisc into your Windows PC.
It’s as easy as that. Instantly your computer is much simpler to use, and more reliable, from the second it starts up to the moment it shuts down.
Everything works the way it should, only it’s all much simpler - the web, your email, photos, music, video, messaging, and all your “office” applications.
With BabelDisc you save time, sanity and the computer repairman’s fees. It also keeps all your files safe in the BabelBank, automatically backed-up and accessible from anywhere in the world.
BabelDisc Computing, based in Cambridge England, is about to launch a new computer system, aimed at people who are NOT computer geeks, but who use computers…. and who are a bit fed up with things like:
* A computer that has become slow and clogged up
* The computer crashing
* Losing files, photos
* Forgetting to make back-up copies of important things
* Regretting not having files/photos/music (when you don’t take your computer with you)
* It all being too complex
* Having to ask or pay for help from technical expertsBabelDisc Computing solves all these problems.
We are looking for people to test out BabelDisc at home for us, before we launch it. As a ‘thank you’, we’ll let you have a version of the system at 50% off the normal price, which you can keep after the beta-trial. All we require is that you have access to a PC and that you have a broadband connection to the Internet.Note: Nothing will be changed on your computer’s hard disc, so, at any time, you can go back to exactly where you were.
I like the concept of BabelLinux, I’m curious to see how this does.

Thanks to RavenCajun who sent this e-mail to me.I think you will get a giggle out of this one;
If only someone had been out hiding in the bushes by my pool this morning with a video camera I would be able to be a rich woman by selling it to America’s funniest home videos! but alas nope I just had to live through it and get nothing but grief.
So I have been hearing the bastids up in my attic for some time now and Slick keeps saying I think they are just on the roof… NO they are in the attic. He says he finds no holes they could be going through… humf yea right.
This morning they woke me up apparently they had a conga line going and a buffet line going too because lord a mercy there was a big azz party going on up over my head!
I am pretty sure I heard Jimmy Buffett music playing too.
I get up and sit in my chair to do my morning blood testing and man it is just a rolling on up in the attic… I am afraid one is going to come flying out of a light hole in the ceiling!
Then out of the corner of my eye I see MOVEMENT! OH dear God are they in the house?
I nearly killed myself trying to get out of my chair.. I was reclined and forgot how to put the damn thing down in my frenzy. My chair may be broke, my shins are bruised.
Well as those of you that have been here know that the entire wall to the pool is windows including that door. Well the movement I saw was through the glass door.
I jerk the door open and go outside (yea I am brave now). There is crap all over the big long table that is out there and all over the concrete… it looks like chunky pine bark… but we do not have chunky pine bark I think to myself humm.
Then there it is movement above my head. I freeze like a statue. I have my hand over my eyes gazing upward and what do I see A BIG AZZ HOLE IN MY SOFFET (the area right under the roof eve)!
And as I am frozen there out pops a squirrel! He is pissed off and has an attitude! He comes right to the edge of the roof and stares at me and acts like any minute he is gong to take a leap off onto my head! (he is only mere feet from my head)
I do not move I do not breathe.
Then he must have used squirrel esp to summon the troops because suddenly out comes the big butch macho squirrel on steroids tearing ass out of that hole and to the edge and I swear he stopped just short of jumping on my head!
Now I am in a bit of a panic they are ganging up on me. When, and I swear I would not believe it had I not seen it so if you don’t believe it I fully understand, the first smaller squirrel, feeling very secure now that Big Bubba BADass has joined the party, stands up on his hind legs and balls up his little squirrel fists at me!
I did all I could possibly think of at that point … I screamed like a little girl threw up my hands in the air and flew into the house and locked the door.
They never moved! I peeked out the window.. I think they high fived!
They are now back to doing the Rumba in the attic and apparently moving furniture around.
Please pray for me!
They have upset Majic so much he is just running from room too room following their conga line barking!
AcetoneISO is the disk image emulator that mounts images of DVD and CD media. Both Mac OS X and Linux / other UNIX like oses can mount and use ISO images using loopback device. It is a DAEMON Tools (Microsoft Windows disk image) clone / emulator program with a lot more features. Using this cool open source software means a user does not have to swap discs to run different programs on local or network computer. You can access software distributed (over Internet) as a disk image such as ISO, DAA, BIN or many other formats (no need to burn a CD/DVD to use disk image).
