Why I believe Facebook’s days are numbered

Friday, August 31st, 2007

My Affair with the Medical Profession

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

A Vista Service Pack is on the way — Microsoft says a beta of Service Pack 1 will be available “in a few weeks.” Many users, waiting for SP1’s arrival before taking the upgrade plunge, will wait even longer with the news that the pack will contain mostly bug fixes — and few new features.

Tuesday, August 28th, 2007

If Linux is hardly affected by viruses, why do system administrators use anti-virus software on their Linux email servers? Because an anti-virus scanner on a mail server can serve as another level of defense for Microsoft Windows desktop users. Linux provides several server-based anti-virus applications, most of which can be configured to interact with a [...]

The open source model of developing software is making a significant impact, not only in the software development and broader high-tech community, but more generally within corporations, other types of businesses and organizations around the world, as Part 1 of this series describes. Whether it’s on servers, desktop computers or mobile devices, it’s increasingly [...]
