The Journey North
Baldy
Well I am here thank goodness. The first part of the trip was fine and then came the second leg. When a Northwest pilot tells you there will be “some” turbulence they are not kidding. LOL However do to the fine work of the crew we landed without a problem. First I have to say that Canada is not as cold as they want you to believe, and second I have been here for over 12 hours and have not seen one moose! But I do wish they spoke english here, what the heck is a toque? Or perhaps it is required by law to end all sentences with eh! But all is in jest just in case there are any canucks reading this. Disclaimer due to the fact that a lot of these folks have guns.
I got a tour of the town last night there was a good 5 minutes down the drain as it was not only a Sunday, but also Veterans Day, so the town was closed. Deer,Elk,and Buffalo were seen from the road but not one darn MOOSE.
I will post more later and let you know about the never ending search for a moose. One really nice thing was getting to stop at a Tim Horton’s Coffee Shop, really good coffee if you are ever up here and needing a caffeine fix.
Til later have a good day and a better tomorrow.
