The Battle of the Arch

January 26th, 2008 by Baldy

Well lets say that yes I am winning, but I have forgotten how much configuring there is in a “geeky” distro. And yes I have been told that using the newer distros would take a toll on me and that is really correct. I have kde up and running now today I have to go in and set a lot of stuff to auto start like usb and camers and sound. All things that are done for you in newer distros I won’t mention any names but you know the ones I am referring to. It has done my brain and me some good to have to get down and dirty and get back to my old school days. Yes the command line is not a evil empire but one that teaches better than any walk-thru or how-to would ever do. Well back to the trenches and I will try and get some screen shots later today.
