Mozilla warned Wednesday that a malicious program inserted adware code into a Firefox plugin that has been downloaded thousands of times over the past three months.
Because of a virus infection (Compare antivirus products), the Vietnamese language pack for Firefox 2 was polluted with adware, Mozilla security chief Window Snyder said in a blog posting. “Everyone who downloaded the most recent Vietnamese language pack since February 18, 2008 got an infected copy,” she wrote. “Mozilla does virus scans at upload time but the virus scanner did not catch this issue until several months after the upload.”

Here is a great article concerning your privacy and the fact that it seems to be fading into the dark pages of history, Baldy.
One of the most prized rights of any American is the right to privacy and security. It’s something people in some countries would kill for. Yet now there appears to be a very frightening trend growing. Your privacy and security are being thrown out the window wholesale in favor of easier access by law enforcement. So, one day you start up your computer and attempt to view or download a .pdf or an image or a link, and you’re greeted by the following error: “ERROR: Filepicker was unexpectedly closed by windows” but that’s only if you’re using firefox, if you’re using IE7 all you get is a big flash and Internet Explorer is gone. No ifs ands or buts.
Nothing seems to fix the problem. You’re at your wits end and if you had a copy of XP you’d be reinstalling or worse yet, going out to buy a new computer!
Hold up!
There is an easy fix.
What’s happened is, Windows has (for reasons unknown) moved your Desktop folder and settings to a new location. Use the search from the Start Menu to discover where it’s hiding. Right click on it and move it to it’s proper home in- C:Documents and settings/User/Desktop Use the advanced search settings to view hidden files/folders and also find the desktop config file, move it to the same location.
You should be good to go after that.
