Every time a new feature gets added, the problem gets worse, he reportedly said. The question of bloat in Linux “reminds me of a classic Canadian vs. American rivalry,” Montreal consultant and Slashdot blogger told LinuxInsider. “We have better beer than the Americans; that’s brilliant, but we have the second worst beer in the world.”

Come on a chubby penguin is cute! But what we are see is the effect of what I call the Windows envy, in other words everyone looks and compares doze to Linux and they want more drivers added to the kernel and more hardware flags. Darn folks that is what happens when you try and play catch up as opposed to saying we will lead the way now! Not sit and wait for a new feature else where.
