Linux has shot itself in the foot quite often. How? 1) Lack of Linux vendor support 2) Lack of Linux advertising and marketing 3) Too much bad techie attitude 4) Too much infighting 5) Not enough developer co-operation ,
A great read and one that stands back and tells it like it is with the world of Linux, Baldy

In my last post, I covered some of the features in Dolphin that I find particularly useful. In this post, you will learn about some very basic features that everyone uses, but you may not know all of the various easy methods of accomplishing them. In KDE, there are several ways to copy, move, rename, and archive files. Let’s take a look at a few them.
Okay even if this guy likes Dolphin, he still has some great shortcuts for those of you who are playing with 4.3 KDE, Baldy

The Linux Foundation rolls out some new member benefits this week, along with a membership classification just for students. Though there were already a ton of cool membership perks to begin wtih, new access to employee purchase pricing on products from HP, Dell, and Lenovo is a really terrific addition to the list.
Read the perks and for the money you pay out you are getting a lot of discounts, which for me could make the difference between a couple of events to a couple extra thanks to the savings.

Austin is now home to what appears to be the first-ever radio ad for Linux. None other than Ken Starks of the HeliOS Project announced the good news a few weeks ago, explaining that the 60-second ad — recorded pro bono by professional voice talent — would be running several times a day for a full month on Austin’s KLBJ AM. Even better: It runs during the Kim Komando technology show, which is “poetic justice,” Starks explained — “her show is full of ads for antivirus software, registry fixers and all the add-ons that slow a Windows computer to a crawl.”
Okay it is not a huge ad but hey it is a ad and it does feature Linux, Lets see how long they take to spread! Baldy
